Light hat brush

Your hat brush needs to work with the color of your fur felt hat. If you have a silverbelly or light gray fur felt hat, this is the brush for you.

This hat brush has boar bristles and a beech wood handle. We use a brush like this to clean our silverbelly hats in store!

Dark Hat Brush Kit

If you have a medium or dark colored fur felt hat (brown, green, burgundy, navy, any dark color, and black), you need to clean it with a dark colored hat brush. This hat cleaning kit will have all the tools you need to keep your hat in shape.

Kit includes: Horsehair brush, two sizes. Dark hat cleaning sponge. Small sweatband cleaner brush (can be used on all hat sweatbands). Lint remover tool.

Cotton handkerchiefs

If you bought a hat in the summer, Sharon may have given you a cotton handkerchief so you could wipe out any sweat from the inside of your hat after wearing. These are some cotton handkerchiefs that you can choose with your initial, so you don’t lose them. A classic technique for a classic hat!

Hat Vac

We love this tool to dust hats in the shop! A hat brush is great for fur felt, but for wool felt hats, or for a deeper clean on your fur felt hat, a hat vacuum is the tool for you. We like that this vacuum is hand-held, no messy cords. It’s a little noisy, but it gets in the grooves and pinches of a hat where a lint roller can’t, and without leaving any sticky residue.

Micellar Wipes

When your sweatband has buildup of makeup, sunscreen, or sweat, use these micellar wipes to wipe out the band. Let the hat air dry. It’s like preventative care, like flossing your teeth, but for your hat. You can do it!
